Montpelier’s Kyle Pembroke surged from third to first in the final stages of the Thursday night’s Late Model Feature at Thunder Road. The race, which was the second of a double feature evening, was the season’s first under the lights.
Pembroke’s fifth career Late Model victory and first of the season moves the 22-year old drive to second place in the King of the Road standings, trailing defending champion Scott Dragon by nine points.
