Leach disruptive, thrown out of court ordered program

News

The former South Burlington High School student accused of sending death threats to students and teachers has been kicked out of a court ordered mental health program.

According to court documents, Josiah Leach was repeatedly disruptive at the Howard Center.

Leach admitted last month to sending a kill list to certain teachers, students and staff at the high school, which caused several lockdowns and class cancellations.

A judge allowed Leach to be free on conditions pending his sentencing in February.

Now federal prosecutors want a judge to decide whether Leach should be held behind bars.

A hearing is scheduled Friday.
