A 30-year-old man has been charged with 2nd-degree murder for the shooting death of an AuSable Forks woman Wednesday.
David J. Bova of AuSable Forks is jailed without bail in Clinton County Jail, accused of killing Magen Goyette, 30.
The Clinton County District Attorneys office says Bova intentionally shot Goyette with a 9 MM High-Point rifle.
On Thursday, police said an autopsy at Albany Medical Center determined that Goyette died of a gunshot wound to the head.
New York State Police have released little information about the shooting, which occurred on Silver Lake Road in the town of Black Brook.
Three Ausable Valley Central School District schools were locked down briefly while police responded:
