In Plattsburgh, an ancient technology course is brewing beer, to get a sense of what life was like back in Ancient Egypt.
The beer, which took two weeks to create was brewed using techniques and ingredients that ancient Egyptians would have used to brew beer, with limited modern day technology.
“The whole idea is to get a sense of what life was like so that people could experience the world in an in direct way of ancient Egypt,” said Assistant Professor of Anthropology, Justin Lowry.
“We tried to mimic as much as we could the ritual process,” said Oval Craft Brewing Owner, Jessy Jolicoeur.
As for the beer, both said it came out unexpectedly good.
If you’re interested in trying a sample, it’ll be on tap at oval craft brewing in the next week or so.
