AT&T has announced the winners of its 5th annual national film festival, and one of the three winners in the student category is a junior from Burlington High School.
Maia Vota won an all-expense paid trip to the opening weekend of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, where she and the other winners will use their learn video storytelling techniques.
Maia’s winning entry is a 4:24 short called ‘A Realistic Look at Distracted Driving.’
In a statement, Carolyn Billings, an assistant vice president at AT&T Mobility and Entertainment, said she was impressed with this year’s submissions.
“Amplifying the voices of these rising creators and supporting them with resources is a true privilege”, said Billings. “I’m blown away at how they bring together creativity, experience and technology to tell great stories.”
