Burlington Police and members of the Northern Vermont Drug Task Force (NVDTF) arrested two men Thursday on charges of cocaine distribution.
    
Police say they were conducting surveillance of 30-year-old Kevin Chapman, also known as Move or L, of Hartford, Connecticut, when they stopped him for a traffic violation. Acting on a search warrant, they found $8,000 in cash along with cocaine and a powder they suspect is heroin.

Chapman was discovered to have an outstanding arrest warrant in Chittenden County from 2016 for felony charges of heroin and cocaine possession, as well as felony drug charges in Connecticut.
    
Von Simmonds, 36, known as Red, was also under investigation when police executed a search warrant on an apartment in a building on St. Paul Street. Police found $3,400 in cash, along with cocaine and crack cocaine.

Police said they had made a series of undercover purchases of crack cocaine from Simmonds, who wil lbe arraigned Friday in Chittenden County Superior Court
