COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Colchester School District is providing free summer meals for a second year.
The program allows students K through 12 to eat nutritious meals for free. 2 new locations have been added – Malletts Bay School and Porter’s Point School. Breakfast is also being served in addition to lunch.
“We want to feed as many kids as possible. We figured this is an opportunity to provide another meal because in the summer time kids are in need of meals so why not serve the second meal also,” said Steve Davis, Director of Colchester School District food services.
The program is not limited to just Colchester. Students from all over may come for a free meal.
Any untouched food will be placed on a table for kids to take home.
