Nearly 50 foreclosed properties hit the auction block Wednesday in Plattsburgh .

The 47 properties, from land to single family homes, are from across Clinton County.

Kimberly Davis , the Clinton County treasurer, says the properties add up to nearly $160,000 in unpaid taxes owed to the county.

“There’s an auction once a year of the foreclosed properties these are properties that have owed taxes from at least 2016 back we want to make sure we get those properties back on the tax roll as quickly as possible,” said Davis.

Of the 47 properties, 45 were auctioned off to bidders both in the North Country and from out of state.

Davis said the two properties that didn’t sell are non-buildable lots.
