The corporate parent of Ben & Jerry’s is recalling “limited quantities” of two flavors of ice cream because they may contain tree nuts not listed among the ingredients.

Unilever announced the voluntary recall Monday of 2.4 gallon tubs of Coconut Seven Layer Bar Bulk with a Consumer UPC of 076840104246 and best by date of SEP1520BJ4. Also recalled are pints of Chunky Monkey with a Consumer UPC of 076840100354 and best by dates of AUG2820BH2, AUG2920BH2, or AUG3020BH2.

Unilever says the the products may contain almonds, Brazil nuts and hazelnuts not listed in the ingredients or allergy information on the packaging. People who are allergic to certain tree nuts can suffer serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume products that contain them.

Unilever says it has not received any reports of illness but is recalling the products “out of an abundance of caution.”
