Local 22 & Local 44 meteorologist will shoe it up for charity

Local News

A local event for a great cause is also giving you a chance to watch a member of our Local 22 and Local 44 team show off her flashy moves!

Our own SkyTracker meteorologist Amanda Thibault is taking part in a Burlington celebrity dance competition. She learned Wednesday night which local dance instructor she’ll perform with, and the two of them were busy hashing out a practice schedule!

The competition is Sunday, September 8th at the Flynn Center. The proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

“And this is also for public awareness to let the community know what the Vermont Association for the Blind does for the blind and visually impaired,” event coordinator Vicki Vest said.

Chief meteorologist Sean Parker and news anchor Lauren Maloney will serve as emcees on the night of the competition. They won’t have to dance in front of the crowd…but if they want to, one of the instructors participating in the contest has offered them free lessons!
