Make a splash at ‘The Big Chill” and ‘Be A Hero for Epilepsy’

Local News

The Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont invites you to take a dip into the icy waters of Lake Champlain as ‘The Big Chill-Be A Hero for Epilepsy’ event returns in its 12th year. On Sunday April 14, 2019, teams will race into Malletts Bay from Bayside Park in Colchester, Vermont. Some will dip a toe or two in, and others will fully submerge in the 33° water, before dashing back out again into warming tents, all in the name of epilepsy support and awareness. The lake jump will be followed up by a delicious BBQ at 12:30 PM. Local 22 & Local 44 is a proud sponsor and will supply the official event forecast leading up to the big day. And before the bone-chilling plunge, you can be a ‘rock hero’ for epilepsy! On Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 6 to 10 PM, head to the Eagles Club in South Burlington for a night of classic rock and dancing. A pizza dinner and cash bar will be available and you may not walk away empty-handed, either. There will be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont.

If you would like to donate to the Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont, Team Quinny Dippers has a Fundly page set up at the link here.
