Ticonderoga could be getting healthier in the near future with the help of a new primary health care center.
The University of Vermont Health Network – Elizabethtown Community Hospital has just been awarded $5.67 million to build a federally-qualified health center. The money comes from New York’s Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program.
The new, 10,000-square-foot primary care center will break ground this summer. Once it’s complete, it’ll complete the multi-year transformation of the former Moses Ludington Hospital campus into a fully-integrated medical village.
Hudson Headwaters has agreed to move its Ticonderoga Health Center elsewhere once the new center opens.
