Pair charged in drug-related home invasion in St. Albans

A man and woman have been charged after they allegedly forced their way into a St. Albans home Tuesday.

Police received a call around 8:35 pm from a resident of North Main Street who said theyhad been assaulted and threatened with a switchblade knife. The caller told police the two alleged assailants feld on foot.

A short time later, police arrested Jessica Salisbury, 37, and Robert Lutz III, 37, both of St. Albans. Police say investigators have determined the alleged home invasion was related toi a drug deal.

Lutz is charged with aggravated assault and carrying a dangerous weapon. Salisbury is charged with simple assault. Both were released on conditions and were due back in court Wednesday.
