Authorities are slated to continue their search Wednesday for a 61-year-old man who was reported missing while ice fishing on Lake Champlain earlier this week.
A Vermont State Police dive team found the man’s truck submerged in 22 feet of water Tuesday before heavy winds and snow led them to suspend the search for Lee Wiktorski of Benson until morning.

Wiktorski was reported missing late Monday by a relative concnered that he had not yet returned from an ice-fishing trip near Orwell.
First responders began searching the ice in the vicinity of Singing Cedars Landing in Orwell on Monday night, with support from Coast Guard helicopter crew.

On Tuesday, state police divers and two airboats joined the search, along with an aircraft from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and K9’s along the shoreline. They ocated his silver 2001 Dodge Dakota truck submerged in the lake, but Wiktorski was not found inside.
