Vermont State Police are investigating a robbery in Highgate on Wednesday that may be connected to a similar incident in Franklin County earlier this week.

Police say a man entered an Irving Oil station at the Highgate Village Market about 5:30 am Wednesday and demanded money from the lone employee on duty. No weapon was shown.

Police say the man left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as 5″5′, dressed in all black and wearing a face mask.

That fits the description of the man police say robbed the Champlain Farms on First Street in Swanton early Tuesday morning.

Businesses in the area are being asked to remain vigilant, and report anything suspicious to police.

If you know anything about either incident, call Vermont State Police in St. Albans at (802) 524-5993.
