Police: Man assaulted two employees during armed robbery

Burlington Police say they want to know who robbed a convenience store Monday morning, violently assaulting two female employees.

It happened around 8:45 a.m., at Simon’s Quick Stop on South Winooski Avenue.

Police say a man in a green hooded sweatshirt went into the store and threatened the employees with a weapon, although it wasn’t shown.  He ended up leaving the store with some amount of money.

The women sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated at UVM Medical Center.
