New Hampshire teen injured, burned when shotgun goes off

An 18-year-old woman is being treated at burn facility for injuries she suffered when a shotgun was fired at a home in Claremont, NH, on Thursday.

Police say the woman was at a friend’s house on River Road when the shotgun was discharged by another person. Police did not offer details on the circumstances, but they say they seized the weapon.

The woman was hit by projectiles from the firearm and also suffered burns to her lower body. She is being treated out of state, police said. Her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
