The Barre Heritage Festival has been going on every year during the last week in July since the 1970’s.

Tracie Lewis is the executive director of the Barre partnership, and she put the festival together to celebrate the history that brought people to the area.

“Barre was kind of the hub for everything in Vermont,” she said.

Rick Lancing has been a vendor at the festival for the past 21 years. This year, he was to selling his famous strawberry lemonade to keep people cool.

“It’s the highlight of my summer every year at the end of July,” he said.
