President Trump is coming to New York’s North Country next week.

New York Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik’s office announced Tuesday that Trump accepted her invitation to visit Fort Drum near Watertown.

Stefanik will be there when the president signs the National Defensive Authorization Act.

The president is also expected to attend a fundraiser for Rep. Claudia Tenney, (R-Willsboro), who will face Democratic Anthony Brindisi for the 22nd Congressional District seat in November.

Stefanik’s office said there are no plans for Trump to help raise money for her campaign against Democrat Tedra Cobb from Canton in the 21st District.

In a statement, Stefanik said: “I am honored that President Trump has accepted my invitation to visit Fort Drum and the brave men and women of the 10th Mountain Division on Monday.”
