Two people were killed early Monday in a two-car crash on Rt. 18 in Littleton, New Hampshire.

Brodie Leavitt of Littleton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Doresa Harrell, 60, of Georgia, died at Littleton General Healthcare of injuries suffered when the vehicle she was driving was struck by a car traveling southbound on Rt. 18.

Police say a preliminary investigation scene found that Harrell was in the process of turning around in the roadway when the accident occurred.

Three people suffered what police called “serious” injuries in the crash. The driver of the car, Richard Maker, 23, of Littleton, and a juvenile passenger were transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, along with Dexter Prescott, a passenger in Harrell’s vehicle.

Route 18 was closed for about 6 hours, police said.

Anyone with further information on the crash should contact Trooper Andrew Wilensky at 603-223-8715, or email at andrew.wilensky@dos.nh.gov.
