Two teens arrested in connection to drive-by shooting in Braintree

Two teens were arrested Monday night at Burlington’s North Beach in connection to a drive-by shooting in Braintree, Vermont, over the weekend.

The suspects are a 16-year-old boy from South Carolina and a 17-year-old girl from Sharon, Vermont.

Police say the boy fired a number of shots from a moving car near a small group of people after a fight with another male.

The boy is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of attempted aggravated assault, reckless endangerment. He was in custody of Woodside Juvenile Detention Facility in Essex.

The girl is being charged with accessory after the fact to attempted aggravated assault, reckless endangerment. She was released on a juvenile citation and will appear in court August 19.
