Vermont History Day puts students’ research on display

Local News
UVM was the place to be for Vermont History Day. It’s a chance for students in 5th through 12th grade to share history projects at the annual state contest.

The projects could be in the form of exhibits, websites, documentaries, performances, or papers.
Local 22’s Meteorologist Amanda Thibault was one of the judges on hand.

Sixth grader, Luke Davis, worked on his American Bombers exhibit board since October.

“It’s important to learn about history because we don’t want to repeat what we’ve already done,” said Luke Davis, a student at Ferrisburgh Central School. “You’ve done all of this research and once you’ve finished it, it’s really gratifying.”

The winners will move forward to the national competition in the coming months.
