A Vermont man will see more than two years in prison for possession of child porn and assaulting a federal officer.
Prosecutors say in August of 2017, Colin Germain, 21, emailed a video of an underage girl being abused to someone in Tennessee.
Law enforcement traced the IP address to a home in New Haven. While officers searched the home, police say Germian became argumentative and kicked a special agent.
Germain was charged with federal crimes in March of 2018. Investigators say while he was on release, he violated conditions many times by going online, continuing to trade child porn, and committing additional assaults.
Germain pleaded guilty in May.
