A teacher at a Vermont boarding school has been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Police on Tuesday charged 44-year-old Anitra Lahiri, of Bethlehem, New Hampshire, with sexual exploitation of a minor and disseminating indecent material to a minor.

She taught at Lyndon Institute in Lyndon Center, school for grades 9 through 12. Her name was not listed on the faculty directory Tuesday.

Vermont State Police and the Department of Children and Families began an investigation Nov. 21, 2018. They said her relationship with a student at the school happened during the end of the previous school year.

Lahiri is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 28. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer and a phone number couldn’t be found for her.
