Vermonters are being greeted with a blast from the past at the 62nd Annual Vermont Antique and Classic Car Meet – one of the largest and oldest shows in New England and a summer tradition in Vermont.
“We get a lot of pre-war cars, and a lot of other classic cars,” said Chris Barbieri, marketing director for the annual event. “A lot of cars that you don’t see very often at other shows.”
Barbieri has been working the show for over 30 years, and said there’s a lot more than classic cars for people to check out.
“We have a fashion judging contest where people dress to the year of their automobile,” Barbieri said. “We have the parade that goes through Main Street in Waterbury and back to the field, and then we have the street dance.”
