Voters in Barre approved a school budget for the next fiscal year Tuesday.

191 people voted in favor of a $45,134,804 budget for the Barre Unified Union School District.  88 people said no.

Its estimated education spending will equal out to $13,562 per student.  Since this is a new school district, numbers cannot be compared.

Article II on the ballot asked voters to spend more than $3 million to support the Central Vermont Career Center.  That was passed; 201 to 77.

These numbers are unofficial, until Wednesday.
