(*Deep Sigh*) AHHHH Wednesday… Wall to wall sunshine, blues skies with a few fair weather clouds, and temperatures in the mid to upper 70’s. Today is easily the pick of the week weather wise. How do you plan to spend this beautiful day?
Waking up this morning, some valley locations are seeing a bit of fog. Give it an hour or so and you’ll be basking in the sunshine with the rest of us, as an area of high pressure moves through the northeast.
Unfortunately, this stunning weather is not long-lasting, and clouds will begin to thicken up early Thursday morning ahead of our next weather maker.
Two areas of low pressure, one moving over the Great Lake, the other traveling up the east coast, will interact bringing the chance for showers over the next few days.
Expect a few light showers to arrive after 2 pm, with the area of heaviest rain staying to our south and west late Thursday into Friday, rainfall totals will range from 0.1 to 0.5 inches.
As the coastal low-pressure system moves away, the secondary low over the Great Lakes lingers, keeping the chance for showers with us through the weekend.
For Father’s Day Weekend, neither Saturday nor Sunday looks to be a complete washout, but if you were to ask which of the two will be the drier day, Saturday would be my answer.
Here’s the daily break down:
Today: Other than a few areas of morning fog, mostly sunny with temps in the mid to upper 70’s.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with temps in the low to mid 50’s
Thursday: Morning clouds and afternoon rain showers. Temps in the mid 60’s
Friday: Off and on rain showers. Mid 60’s
Saturday: Scattered rain showers. Low 70’s (The drier of the two weekend days)
Sunday: Scattered rain showers. Low 70’s
