The sun maybe peaking from behind the clouds early this morning but that about it for sunshine as clouds build back in ahead of an approaching cold front.
Lake effect snow is streaming off Lake Ontario, being kicked up ahead of the front, reaching our neck of the woods by Thursday afternoon and continuing through part of the day on Friday (especially in the higher elevations)
It’s not a big batch of snow but here what were think for totals:
Valleys- Dusting- 1”
Mid Terrain- 1-2”
Higher Elevations- 3-6+” (especially in Southern St. Lawrence County)
As the snow wraps up Friday temperatures plummet in to the single digits overnight. Combine that with a blustery Northwesterly wind at 5-10 mph, will make the windchill feel closer to -2 to -10.
The weekend starts off dry but another round of light snow showers arrives overnight Saturday into Sunday, with light snow accumulations.
