What a weekend! How did you spend the past couple of BEAUTIFUL days? I was back home in Massachusetts visiting family, but I was able to squeeze in a sail down in Newport, RI. Whether you were on the water or hiking up the mountains the weather could not be more perfect with full sunshine and temperatures comfortably in the mid to upper 70’s and low 80’s.
We start off the work week the same way we ended the weekend… sunny and warm, but I come bearing some bad news! Rain is back in the forecast overnight Monday and through the afternoon Tuesday, with rainfall amounts ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 inches.
An area of low pressure moves in over the Great Lakes, nudging its warm front through the region late Monday afternoon, while the heavy rain with the associated cold front swings through mid-morning Tuesday. Rain will get going after dark Monday, but clouds will start to thicken up after noontime.
The front is a quick mover, and behind it comes a lot of dry air. Expect a few peaks of sunshine by early evening Tuesday.
High pressure takes control of the forecast once again for Wednesday. Have you ever heard of the Joe Nichols song ‘Sunny and 75’? Well, that’s the forecast for Wednesday! Enjoy it!
