Friday’s highs were plenty mild, running from the 30s to the 50s! Precip was slow to get going but by early afternoon rain and snow had started over much of the area and continued well into the evening. There were even a few lightning flashes near Georgia, Milton and Fairfax around 5:30pm then again around 6:30pm! Friday night, the wind calms down and showers will gradually come to an end for all but the highest terrain. Meanwhile, lows will be in the upper teens and low 20s.
The weather looks good over the weekend! Saturday, passing snow showers remain over the northern mountains in the morning. The rest of us have a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 20s to near 30°. Sunday will be colder but sunnier, highs only get into the low 20s. Remember, average is about 30°.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week will all be mainly quiet under a mix of sun & clouds. Each day, highs stay in the 20s with lows around 10°. All of that said, we are watching the potential for a few snow showers, mainly in central & southern VT/NH on Monday. Before you panic or get excited, there’s still a chance it all goes south. After that, another storm approaches on Thursday, that one gives us a better shot at widespread accumulating snow out of it but it’s still too early to say how much.
