Tuesday night under clearing skies, temperatures will fall into the upper 20s & low 30s in the typically colder spots. You’ll have to be careful of frost in the NEK & Adirondacks. The warmer valleys will fall into the middle & upper 30s. The stage will be set for a beautiful, but cool Wednesday. Expect a lot of sun with highs inching into the mid 50s. Remember, average is about 64°. Wednesday night, it gets chilly again under mainly clear skies. Lows will be in the upper 30s in the warmer valleys. The colder pockets of the NEK & Adirondacks drop into the upper 20s & low 30s.
Thursday, our next widespread rainmaker gets here. The day starts dry and chilly but clouds take over during the morning with rain arriving by the evening drive; highs will get into the upper 40s & low 50s. Rain becomes steady and continues overnight Thursday and lasts all day Friday. It could easily be another 1+” soaker for us. The river flood risk remains on the low side but Lake Champlain is still in minor flood stage, rain won’t help things.
Rain ends Friday night and we’re looking at a nice Mother’s Day weekend! Highs will be on either side of 60° under a mix of clouds & sun. We’ll be taking part in the MS Walk Saturday morning at Burlington High School. We’ll also be at Burlington Kid’s Day all day Saturday. That’s happening at the Burlington Waterfront and it’s promising to be a great time! We’ve got a few experiments lined up and the kids will also have the opportunity to make their own forecast. See you there!
Make it a great week!
