I hope everyone loved Thursday’s weather, it was pretty close to perfect! We did have some snow showers linger through early afternoon but eventually, we all squeezed out some evening sunshine. Thursday night, clouds will get thicker and light snow showers arrive by Friday morning. Temps will drop until about midnight-1am, then start to come up through sunrise. We’ll start Friday in the middle & upper 20s with south winds gusting to 30-40mph.The strongest gusts will be in the Champlain Valley.
Friday, scattered rain and snow showers continue through the afternoon, highs will be in the 30s to near 40°. The day will be “yucky” for lack of a better term but it won’t be a soaking rain. I don’t expect the snowpack to get chewed up too terribly bad and any river flood threat will be limited. Friday night, the wind calms down and snow showers will gradually come to an end for all but the highest terrain. Lows will be in the upper teens and low 70s.
The weather looks good over the weekend! Saturday, passing snow showers remain over the northern mountains in the morning. The rest of us have a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 20s to near 30°. Sunday will be colder but sunnier, highs only get into the low 20s. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week will all be quiet under a mix of sun & clouds. Highs stay in the 20s with lows around 10°. Another storm approaches on Thursday, we may get some accumulating snow out of it but it’s too early to say how much.
