Good Monday evening! Unfortunately, our nice stretch of weather comes to an end Monday night. We started off the day nice and sunny and Burlington reached 85º again! That brings the 80° count up to 3 days! In case you’re keeping score, last year we already had 7 days in the 80s or hotter by June 10.
Overnight, it’ll stay mild in the upper 50s & low 60s. It’ll be raining most of the night and some may be heavy at times. It’ll continue through the morning drive, you’ll need wipers and rain gear ready to go. When the rain wraps up after lunchtime on Tuesday, will be talking about rain totals from .5″ to 1.5″. While flooding is not a major concern if you have plans that bring you out and about, you will want to be mindful of isolated flash flooding and ponding on the roads. Fortunately, this batch of rain is a quick mover, we’ll clear out Tuesday afternoon revealing partly cloudy skies. Meanwhile, strong northwest winds gusting over 20mph will keep temperatures down, highs will only climb into the mid and upper 60s. That may feel a bit cool/chilly after the weekend we just had! Speaking of chilly, it’ll get a little crisp by Wednesday morning under clear skies; lows will be in the middle & upper 40s.
Wednesday looks to be the pick of the week with sunny skies and high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Don’t get used to the sun, once again the clouds will fill back in for Thursday afternoon as we watch a chance of showers everyday right into the Father’s Day weekend. While no day looks soaking wet, you will have to keep an eye to the sky and dodge rain from time to time. Highs will hang right around 70º, while overnight lows drop into the middle 50s.
Enjoy the week!
