Hello! Wednesday was a mostly cloudy day but, waves of rain and maybe even a rumble of thunder will move through overnight. If you have any plans you’re going to want to take it slow, some of the rain will come down heavy at times. While widespread flooding is not likely, isolated flash flooding is possible. When all is said and done Thursday morning, rain totals will range from about .5″ across northern spots to around 1-2″ in central/southern areas. Meanwhile, temperatures will slowly dip into the lower and mid 50s. Thursday morning we begin to dry out and it looks like a rather nice day. Despite a cool north wind at 5-15mph, highs will climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Clouds may be stubborn in the morning but will see more and more sunshine as the day goes on.
This nice weather will prevail through the end of the work week and into the weekend with sunny skies and highs in the mid and upper 70s. Sunday and Monday we have our first chance of hitting 80° in Burlington in 2019! This would be the first time since October 10, when it was 82°. Monday afternoon we stay warm but clouds begin to fill back in before our next rain threat Monday night and Tuesday.
The weekend is in view!
