Hello folks, I hope you are enjoying this amazing weather! We really deserve every ounce of sunshine after the gloomy spring we have had. The best news is– we are stretching this good weather for at least another day and a half. The bad news, another hit of rain is en route for Monday night. But let’s focus on the positives at the moment. We can thank a rather strong area of high pressure, think of it as a dome, it will not let any other weather features move on in. That is why we saw nearly wall-to-wall blue skies this afternoon. This “dome” of high pressure is firmly in place, and it will give us clear conditions tonight and Sunday night, along with, another sunny day for Sunday, and a sunny start on Monday.
The “dome” of high pressure will weaken and move off to the east, allowing for our next weather feature to slide on in Monday evening. Models are showing the best chance for rain will arrive sometime late in the afternoon or the early evening. Rain falls overnight into the first half of Tuesday before drying on out, after receiving around 0.50-1.00″ of new precipitation. Right behind the rain is another region of high pressure, quickly clouds thin out Tuesday night, and we are sunny again for Wednesday.
It’s then a rinse and repeat for Thursday into Friday for our next chance of seeing rain.
