The Marriott is changing how much time you have to notify the hotel chain about a cancellation.
You now have to let the hotel know 48 hours in advance, instead of the previous 24 hour policy.
The new policy applies to hotels in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. If you made a reservation before June 15, the 24-hour policy still applies.
Officials say the change is partly because last-minute cancellations left many rooms unfilled.
