Milton School District Cuts Ties with Barone

The Milton School District has officially parted ways with former Superintendent John Barone.

The district’s lawyer Joe Farnham has confirmed it delivered a Separation Agreement to Barone.  It took effect today.  The district paid Barone just over 20 thousand dollars in pay and benefits for February, through March.  He had been on paid leave since August.

You may recall, Barone and other District Administrators had been under-fire for their handling of a hazing incident involving five football players who were criminally charged.

The school board has extended the interim contract of Superintendent Ann Bradshaw.  The board is expected to make a comment on her future, at it’s next  meeting, February 29th.
