Minimum wage bill passes Vermont State Senate

Vermont State House (GEN)_-5272408789604610650

Legislation at the Vermont State House to increase minimum wage is moving forward.
The Senate passed a bill to incrementally increase wages to $15.00 an hour by 2024.
Lawmakers say this should attract a stronger workforce, move toward equal pay for women, and improve the local economy.
If passed, it’s estimated the total income of minimum wage earners will increase by more than 240 million dollars by 2022.
The bill now moves on to the House.
