The Clinton County District Attorney’s office announced Friday a Mooers man pleaded guilty to predatory sexual assault against a child in court.
On Thursday, David Burdo, 59, was in court, to plead guilty to sexually abusing a child under the age of 13, according to a release from the DA’s office.
Officials say Burdo will serve a negotiated sentence of 20 years to life in state prison, with fines to be set by the court, he will also have to register as a sex offender and an order of protection was granted for the victim.
Sentencing is set for November 21.
Under New York State law, Burdo faces a minimum of 10 years to life in prison, with a maximum of 25 years to life.
