This week on Local 44 Morning Brew, Champlain College professor of film making Julia Swift reviewed a movie about another movie, The Disaster Artist.
The film is a true story of two friends who funded and released a movie called The Room, back in 2002.
The Disaster Artist follows two wanna-be actor friends who move to LA. One of the pair is ridiculously rich, so he decides to spend 6 million dollars on a movie, and make their dreams come true. The only problem? Neither of them know anything about film making. Their film, which would go on to become The Room, is well-known for being “the worst movie ever made.”
The film stars real-life brothers, James and Dave Franco. James Franco also served as director.
The film is Rated R.
