"I believe that the first farm was really in 1774, but it was really located about a mile away and that was where the actual William H. Nielson settled. And then four farms that were all owned by his sons cropped up here in Ryegate Corner. So we're on the farm that belonged to John, one of the sons."
The weather takes a very quiet home stretch right into the weekend, with more clouds overhead and a few showers returning by Saturday. Our next big soaker seems right on schedule for the early to middle portion of next week.
After Tuesday night's cold front snuck through, temperatures will be comfortably cooler on Wednesday with most topping out in the 70s. If the temp fails to hit 80° in Burlington, it would be the first time since June 28th.
