Before taking what might be the mugshot of the year Monday night, 36-year old Waterbury man Nicholas Palermo was caught in the woods by a Vermont State Police K9 unit.
VSP says they were investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle near an electric substation in Moretown, Vt.
Police say Palermo was the man in the car. He ran into the woods but was tracked and caught by a K9 unit about a half mile away.
Later that night, police say Palermo was connected to an alleged burglary of a Moretown home.
He’s been charged with burglary and unlawful trespass.
