Murder Suspects Plead Not Guilty


Four people accused of killing Amos Beede, pleaded not guilty to second degree murder Monday.

Twenty-one year olds Erik Averill and Jordan Paul, 22 year old Myia Barber, and 25 year old Allison Gee were in Chittenden Superior Court Monday.  All four have different attorneys.  According to court documents, the four attacked the transgender man, in a homeless camp off Pine Street May 23rd.  Beede later died from his injuries.

All four suspects were arrested in California May 26th.  The group is being held without bail.

A 5th person, Amber Dennis previously pleaded not guilty to second degree murder.
