New Hampshire has a new Attorney General.

Gordon MacDonald was sworn in Thursday by Governor Chris Sununu.  MacDonald will serve a four-year term with a salary of $128,259.

Despite the five-member Executive Council 3-2 partisan split, MacDonald was confirmed unanimously Wednesday morning.  He succeeds Joseph Foster.

MacDonald is an attorney at the Nixon Peabody firm in Manchester, and has achieved numerous recognitions from legal organizations. MacDonald is also a 1983 graduate of Dartmouth.
