New York Attorney General Letitia James is speaking out against raids planned for this weekend by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

CNN reports that on Sunday ICE will target families that have court ordered removals in 10 major cities, including New York City, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans and San Francisco.

In a statement today James accused the President of using migrant families and asylum seekers as political punching bags, calling it racist, xenophobic, and antithetical to our basic human rights, adding quote, “This is an immoral and unconscionable act by a president and an Administration hell-bent on dividing our country, and, as New York’s top law enforcement officer, I can assure New Yorkers we will do everything in our power to fight back against these inhumane policies.” James said.

The statement also included two resources for migrant families in New York; to check whether a removal order has been issued against you, you can call the Immigration Court Information System’s automated number at 1-800-898-7180, for advice, call the Office of New Americans hotline at 1-800-566-7636.
