NY: Police Arrest Protesters After Refusing to Leave Lobby of Local Bank

Plattsburgh Police made arrests on Tuesday after protesters refused to leave the lobby of a TD Bank.

According to Police, ten to fifteen people were protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline in front of the TD Bank, Tuesday afternoon.

Police say they found three more protesters inside the bank’s lobby. 

According to the press release, bank employees asked the protesters to leave as they were disrupting business at the bank. 

Police say they told the protesters to leave or the bank would press charges, the protesters did not leave. 

According to police Jamie Elizabeth Rogers, 27, of Lake Placid, NY, Nicole L. Frechette,44, of Keene, NY and Kathryn K Wilson,32, of Keene, NY were arrested for trespassing and were taken the Plattsburgh Police Department.

Police say all three are scheduled to appear in Plattsburgh City Court at the end of the month.
