The officer who police say was cut with a knife during an arrest in Burlington testified in court Friday.
Officer Derek Hodges took the stand in todays hearing to determine whether Jason Breault should be held without bail.
The Burlington transient is well known by police having faced 29 charges since January 2016.
Breault is charged with aggravated assault among other charges.
During the early October incident, Officer Hodges was cut in the hand with a sharp tool Breault had.
Breault’s defense attorney says he did not purposefully injure the officer.
The judge will decide whether breault will be released on conditions by Tuesday.
