You can help make Christmas special for kids spending their holidays at University of Vermont Children’s Hospital by supporting Operation Fire Cuffs.
Law enforcement, fire departments, and other agencies from all around northwestern Vermont, are once again teaming up for this special toy drive.
Vermonters are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys by Wednesday, December 13. The toys will be delivered to the hospital on Thursday, December 14 at 1 p.m.
Any toy will be accepted, but the hospital has listed some specific needs.
For infants: rattles and mobiles are suggested.
For toddlers: musical toys, pop-up toys, stand & walk toys, large blocks, stacking toys and trains are encouraged.
For school-aged children: Legos, art kits (jewelry making, painting, etc.) and athletic gear (balls, clothes, etc.).
For tweens: Nail polish, body lotion and journals are all suggested, as well as gift cards to iTunes, Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy or Hannaford.
