Outdoor Gear Exchange is planning to expand its Church Street Market Place location.
The shop will take over the space where Panera Bread formally was.
Panera Bread closed its Church Street location earlier this month.
Outdoor Gear Exchange store owners say the expansion will allow them to increase their selection and support more charitable giving.
OGE first came to Burlington more than 23 years ago, as just an 800 square foot shop.
The project is expected to be completed by springtime with celebrations to follow.
