The Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a partial roof collapse at the Big Lots Plaza on Cornelia Street Friday evening.
It happened just after 5:30, and no injuries were reported.
Local 22 & Local 44 News received video from someone who works in the plaza.
The fire chief told Local 22 & Local 44 News he doesn’t believe the collapse was suspicious. However, four businesses are shut down, as a result.
One of them, is Iron’s Restaurant, where Mike Danis works.
“Dinner rush 5:30, every table was full, and they had to evacuate everyone out,” said Danis.
The fire department and building inspector were on scene after the collapse to complete an evaluation and determine a cause.
